Cow Tipping As a Sport has Waned in the Past few Years.

From Wikipedia: Cow tipping is the purported activity of sneaking up on a sleeping, upright cow and pushing it over for fun. In reality, though, cows generally do not sleep standing up.
Cow Tipping a sport?

I don’t intend to argue the ethical issues related to cow tipping, I merely report on what the publicly available figures describe.

Cow tipping became a popular Search Term in mid 2005, which leads me to believe that the internet finally arrived to the rural areas of the developed world. It quickly peaked when the idea of researching different ways to “Tip a Cow” must have become popular in late 2005.

Google Trends Data For Cow Tipping

Obviously as the chart indicates, the sport waned until mid 2006. I would kindly blame the producers of Cars which was released in 28 July 2006.

The data Shows that the US leads the interest in tipping cows, followed closely by the Irish, Canadians and UK residents. I make no qualitative deductions from here, how ever may I point out that Dublin is the city that is 8th on the lead of the search tables. (St Loius in the US is the first).

Cow Tipping League Table

Finally, I am pleased to report that the sport has waned since its revival in July 06, to a fraction of its original popularity. I am also pleased to announce that Dublin is no longer in the league, while London has entered the race at position 8, with the league led by Washington.
